Hello, I'm Fernando. For as long as I can remember, I've been more comfortable in the shadows, quietly observing the world around me. Sharing my thoughts in public wasn't exactly my forte. However, life has an interesting way of nudging us out of our comfort zones. It constantly evolves, presenting us with new challenges and opportunities. And so, I find myself at a crossroads, where the desire for personal growth and creative exploration beckons me to embrace change. In this blog, I'll take you on a journey through the shifts and transformations that have shaped my life and career.
My journey, much like any great adventure, began with an unexpected twist. Life was comfortable in the picturesque landscapes of Colorado. I reveled in the thrill of outdoor activities, from conquering mountain peaks to gliding down ski slopes. But then, the landscape of my life shifted dramatically with the arrival of our 'little monster.' Parenthood brought forth a whole new set of challenges, joys, and revelations. As my wife and I navigated this transformative adventure, we discovered that life's most profound changes often come in the form of tiny, extraordinary humans.
Our family's story took an unforeseen turn when we received a diagnosis that would change everything. Our son's unique developmental journey led us to the discovery of a rare genetic mutation known as Auts-2. This revelation not only altered our perspective on life but also sparked a profound shift in my career aspirations. It was during this pivotal moment that I decided to embrace the world of UX/UI design. This decision was born out of a deep desire to channel my creativity and newfound purpose into creating solutions that could benefit not only my family but also others facing similar challenges. I'm thrilled to embark on this path, and through this blog, I invite you to join me in the journey of design, growth, and transformation.
